The DSPXtreme is the new leader in BW Broadcast"s DSPX range of audio processors. Combined with all the features you would expect in a top-of-the-range processor, the DSPXtreme sets new standards in creating a powerful on-air presence. Two versions are available - FM only and FM+HD for simultaneous processing of FM and digital radio broadcasts (HD Radio (IBOC), DAB(+), DRM, FMeXtra, web streaming).

DSPXtreme processing consists of an intelligent wide-ranging 4-band window-gated AGC which is followed by a new 6-band limiter and distortion cancelling clipper producing loud, clean and consistent sound. Bass enhancement allows the adjustment of low-end texture to give that deep feel and low-end punch. The anti-aliased clipper works with the re-designed multi-band limiter to maintain the fatigue free, open and clean sound while producing high average modulation and precise peak control.

The dual processing path after the multiband limiter provides simultaneous processing for FM and digital radio (DAB/HD Radio/streaming). The digital radio path employs precision look-ahead limiter, selectable low-pass filtering and sample adjustable 12 second MPX output delay for perfect blends between FM and HD Radio (IBOC) transmissions.

The 2U form factors contains two LCD colour screens, one of which is touch-sensitive and features the intuitive X-sense interface. The easy to use touch screen removes the need for jog-wheels, joysticks and buttons allowing you to navigate, setup and control the DSPXtreme with a touch of your finger.

Remote configuration and monitoring is simple with serial or Ethernet interfaces, and a trigger port allows preset selection through 8 contact closures. Presets can also be automatically switched through the real time clock scheduler.
